Amazing experience! Before we even arrived in Zanzibar, we were already exploring all the activities the island has to offer, and that’s when we were introduced to Kilavo Experience. Jafari was incredible at understanding our preferences, presenting us with the best options, and tailoring two full days of activities exactly to what we wanted to experience.
We visited Mnemba Island, swam with dolphins, explored a stunning sandbank, enjoyed plenty of snorkeling with the equipment they provided, and also visited Jozani Forest, where we saw different species of monkeys. Every moment was unforgettable. The guides were amazing, and Mohammed, our driver for those days, was fantastic and made everything run smoothly.
Jafari was also extremely involved throughout, making sure everything was perfectly organized and stress-free. We are truly grateful for these unforgettable days, an experience we will cherish forever!

From the first email of inquiry to stepping back onto the train in Morongoro, our trip went flawlessly. The service was exceptional, and the warmth of Kilavo's local partners made us feel genuinely welcomed. They bring authenticity and reliability to every moment. We could not have been given a nicer or more knowledgeable guide than Jimson. He was so kind and knowledgeable. He shared fascinating insights on animal behaviour, local plants, and the broader ecosystem. The game drives were out of this world with close-up encounters with lions, elephants, zebras, and black mambas. (of course, at a respectful distance). The food at Vuma Hills was flavorful and captured local customs.
Accommodation was gorgeous, the fabrics spoke to the culture of Tanzania, beds were extremely comfortable, and the entire camp runs on solar. Vuma Hills is the perfect combination of luxury with environmental responsibility.
Kilavo Experience allowed all this to come together seamlessly: thoughtful planning, superb guiding, thrilling wildlife encounters, delicious food, and stunning eco-conscious accommodation.

Kilavo helped plan my Safari at Mikumi National Park and everything was so beautifully executed. The experience I had was out of this world, the tour guide was fantastic, my hotel was amazing and everything in between fell perfectly into place.
Kilavo experience also helped me set up my trips in Zanzibar including to Paje to relax on the beach, to Metmbwe to swim with the dolphins (even supported finding an ethical guide) and to Prision island. My trip was a dream come true.

Wow, what an incredible experience! Our 10 day trip with Kilavo Experience was just perfect from start to finish. The safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro was out of this world. We still can’t believe we saw a leopard so close! Raymond, our guide, was amazing, super knowledgeable and made everything feel easy and fun. Then we flew to Zanzibar, spent a couple of days exploring the magic of Stone Town (we learned so much!), and finished with some serious relaxation in Nungwi. We totally fell in love with the pole pole vibe, slow mornings, beach sunsets… pure joy. Huge thanks to Kilavo Experience for organizing everything so smoothly. It really felt like a trip made just for us. We’re going home with full hearts and memories we’ll never forget. 💛
