This September, Kilavo Experience took an exciting step forward by introducing our Brand Ambassador Program, a way to not only showcase Tanzania to the world but also involve passionate locals in our journey. We are proud to welcome three incredible individuals who will represent Kilavo Experience and share the beauty of their regions:
Brooke – based in Dar es Salaam, bringing the vibrant energy of the city to our travelers. Arnold – from Zanzibar, capturing the island’s turquoise charm and cultural heartbeat. Manswabu – representing Mafia Island, home to some of Tanzania’s most untouched marine wonders.
They will be with us for the next six months, acting as both ambassadors and agents, connecting their communities with our travelers worldwide. This is more than just promotion, it’s about creating opportunities, building bridges, and ensuring that travel leaves a social impact where it matters most. With Kilavo Experience, you don’t just explore Tanzania, you grow with it. |

At Kilavo Experience, we believe travel should do more than move people, it should move communities forward. That’s why we’re proud to share our new partnership with Powerblox Tanzania (🌐 tz.power-blox.com). Together, we are pushing for sustainability in Tanzania’s tourism sector, starting with lodges and camps. Our mission is to show how switching to solar energy is not just an eco-friendly choice, but also a smart step toward a cleaner, more resilient future for Tanzania. This collaboration isn’t just talk, it’s action. Throughout October, we’ll be sharing updates on Instagram (follow @powerbloxtanzania) as we continue the conversation around solar adoption. You’ll see: Interviews in Kiswahili educating communities about solar energy Visits to businesses powered by solar, including a mushroom farm where we spoke with the farmer about their Swiss-installed solar system

Recently, Powerblox Tanzania joined us on Radio Mega FM in Arusha, where their solar energy specialist, head of marketing, and managing director shared insights and raised awareness about clean, modular energy for local businesses and communities. We also believe that educating the next generation is key. That’s why we partnered with Kuzuri Tanzania and Powerblox Tanzania to distribute Caran d’Ache colored pencils to students at Jobrea Primary School in Arusha. If you grew up in Switzerland, you know what those pencils mean , a symbol of creativity and learning. For us, it’s also a way of saying: educating about solar energy in Tanzania starts with schools, children, and imagination. 🎥 Watch the full video on Instagram to see the pencil distribution, hear the future Kiswahili interviews, and catch our visit to the solar-powered mushroom farm. It’s a short, inspiring teaser of the impact sustainable energy can have on communities in Tanzania. 💡 With Kilavo Experience and Powerblox Tanzania, you’re not only traveling you’re helping drive sustainable change. If you think Tanzania 🇹🇿, think Kilavo.

Girl Interrupted – Zürich, October 11This month in Zürich, an important cultural and social initiative is taking place, the launch of “Girl Interrupted”, a campaign raising awareness about teenage pregnancy. The event will feature a powerful photographic exhibition portraying teenage mothers in both Switzerland and Tanzania. Through these portraits, visitors will encounter stories of courage, stigma, and resilience, voices that deserve to be heard. A panel discussion with experts from both countries will accompany the exhibition, offering a space to confront different realities while aiming to build a deeper understanding of the challenges young mothers face across cultures. At Kilavo Experience, we are honored to help promote this event. These are not just anonymous stories they are the journeys of our little sisters, whether from Tanzania or Switzerland, and they remind us of the importance of empathy, support, and community. 👉 We encourage everyone in Zürich and beyond to attend and be part of this meaningful conversation. If you think Tanzania 🇹🇿, think Kilavo. |
